Critter Tailz Fun Fact: Velociraptor (commonly called "raptor") was a carnivorous dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period about 75 million years ago. A few species have been identified ranging in size from 2 to 5 feet tall. They had long tails, a curved claw on each back foot, and are suspected to have had feathers though that has not yet been proven. Scientists think velociraptor may have had wings, but would not have been capable of flight.
