Welcome to Little Critterz!
Recognizable by the distinct yellow hue of its skin, the lemon shark occupies coral keys and mangrove forests along the Atlantic Ocean and parts of the Pacific. They stay close to the surface and are a non-aggressive species, not prone to biting unless provoked or threatened. An adult may live up to 27 years and grow to 10 feet long, making it one of the larger sharks in our oceans. They are listed as a near-threatened species.
