Critter Tailz Fun Fact: The Capybara is a semi-aquatic mammal native to South America and is the largest living rodent in the world. It inhabits savannas, dense forests, and lives near bodies of water. Capybaras are herbivores, grazing mainly on grasses and aquatic plants, fruit, and tree bark. They are a highly social species and can be found in groups as large as 100, but usually live in groups of 1020 individuals. With an average lifespan of 10 years, the species is considered not threatened at this time.
